0 to 19 Inclusion Health Team

Welcome to our service

We are a specialist health team working in Central Bedfordshire. We help families from the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities who have children aged 0 to 19.

• How we work

  We can help out in the community at their home. This could be in a house, on a site or in an unauthorized encampment. 

  We build relationships and trust with families. We help them deal with the barriers that can stop them getting healthcare services.

  As a team, we provide assessments and extra help when needed. This extra help includes:

  • assessments during pregnancy (antenatal assessments)
  • new birth visits
  • development reviews

  We can help direct families to other helpful services. This could be registering with a GP, dentist, nursery or school.

  We work with GPs to help them help families access other NHS services.

  As a team, we aim to:

  • help babies, children and young people to be healthy
  • make sure babies, children and young people have their developmental needs met
  • make sure families have their health needs met
  • reduce health inequalities for families across Central Bedfordshire
  • make sure families have fair access to support and healthcare services
